Dance Practice Tip: TAPE

Dance Practice tip: TAPE

Masking tape has many different uses, and one of them is helping you to perfect your dance skills!
I like to place a strip of tape in a line to keep me tracking straight in a smooth dance, or make a box or “tetris shape” to be sure I’m landing a precise Rumba Box or Cha Cha basic. I have also used tape to guide footwork in East Coast Swing underarm turn practice.

Masking tape can also be used to keep your finger together. Or to keep your partner’s mouth shut!

I know you must be asking yourself, “why masking tape?” Masking tape comes off the floor easily. Plain and Simple. No gunk left behind.

Go ahead! Give it a try. Tape can be a boon to your routine as well.

How else can you use masking tape in your own practice?
